Some of the new signage that will point drivers in the right direction when heading south over the NRB into Quincy.
On another note: All northbound lanes were open for this morning's commute.

I never thought that it was possible but the northbound traffic is worse than it was before the work on the bridge started. Have no idea why. And they want to put in condos at Marina Bay - can just imagine the traffic then. Very nice bridge though!
I agree with the above. I can't imagine how the traffic will be once they add another few hundred condos to Marina Bay. Where's the City of Quincy on this. It seems that anything they want to build at Marina Bay does not meet any opposition from the city. WHY?
Does anyone know why the communte has been SO horrible this week?? I feel like with the lanes open, it has been even worse. It is taking me 40+ minutes to get over the bridge from Squantum... Any info would be appreciated! I'm seriously thinking of moving if this is how it will be post-constrtuction...
Because now that the lanes are open the cops are no longer directing cars through the red light. When they did that an extra 20-30 cars made it through every light cycle.
You can understand our frustration when for years we've wasted hours of our lives sitting in traffic patiently waiting for the bridge to be repaired. We anxiously waited, hopeful that we'd have a better, faster commute once all was repaired. But, how is it that the commute has not improved with the completed construction? Furthermore, where are all the city officials, traffic engineers, experts, police, etc. Do they have blinders on? Can they not see any change in traffic! The bridge and lights may look nice but it does us no good if it's not functioning properly. Please finish the job and get the lights timed correctly or budget enough to keep a police detail to better manage traffic to get more cars through. This project has been a disgrace!! Still waiting for 40+ minutes to get thru is unacceptable, don't you think???

As Massachusetts' south shore commuters endure what has been predicted by some as one of the biggest traffic headaches since Boston's "Big Dig". We're keeping an eye on the progress. Some 70,700 vehicles drive over the Neponset River Bridge daily. Will the project stay at the 35 million dollars estimated?

I thought Brian MAcNamee was going to organize a communtiy meeting. What happen to him? oh, it's not an election year?
The bridge does look great! but not much fun when you're trying to go over it at 7:30 or 8:00 AM.
